Straight out of Memphis, Tennessee, meet comedian, Kelly, “K-Dubb” Walker, an out-the-box genius, who happens to be hilarious.
K-Dubb has built an amazing resume made up of feature performances on several internationally syndicated comedy television shows, including P-Diddy’s HBO series, “Bad Boys of Comedy,” selling out shows from Los Angeles to Japan, and headlining around the world.
A perfect blend of satire and ‘good ole’ laugh-your-butt-off comedy are the hallmark of Walker’s unique style. His path from amateur, household comic to gracing stages around the world has given him a natural, un-contrived ability to connect with diverse crowds of every caliber imaginable and address any subject. K-Dubb continues to keep it real about issues plaguing under-served communities across the nation, while his universal appeal unceasingly woos audiences time and time again.
The microphone was first given to K-Dubb by legendary comedian, “Earthquake,” which only resonates with the popular myth: “if a legend brings you to the stage your first time, then you are destined to become a legend yourself.”
“Hilarious”, “Original”, “Honest” & “Stylish” Are just a few words to describe the comedic styles of Comedian Nikita B. She started her career after losing her mother Veronica Kirk Blakeney to her battle of breast cancer in June of 2010. She says “I told my mom when she got better; I was going to hit a stage and perform and dedicate the performance to her.”
Sadly, her mom passed away before this could happen. While grieving the loss of her mom Nikita decided she would go onstage and tell her story as she spoke about common things people did and said when visiting with families that were going through bereavement and was a huge success.
Only 3 short months after her start in comedy she was connected with one of the writers from the Monique show, comedian Tone-X and a well-known local radio personality Fly Ty of My 92.7, who both accompanied Chris ‘FunnyMan’ Robinson at Skandalos for the Tuesday night Tone-X and friends comedy show. These connections led to the performances that Nikita is currently known for. It was through Fly Ty that Nikita was able to open for the Radio 1 family comedy tour at Oven’s Auditorium.
A stage that Nikita was told by some she wouldn’t perform on until she had been in the industry for at least 3-5 years. Nikita had graced the stage within the first 90 days of her start as a comedian. Since then the full time wife, mother and registered nurse has had endless request to perform all over the East Coast. Nikita has a story to tell and is not ashamed to speak about things that others often can relate to, but are too ashamed to talk about. From low self-esteem, to domestic violence, single parenthood, childhood, church folk and kinfolk, she talks about it all.
Nikita says “I love to talk about the way things were when I was younger because we have gotten so far away from “old school” tactics, but those were the things that kept families together. Nikita uses her witty personality and creative skills to engage the crowd and leave them wanting to hear more. Opening or featured act for: Radio 1 Family Tour, with Marcus D. Wiley, Small Fire, Chinitta, Woodey, and Griff at Oven’s auditorium.
