It wasn’t long before Queen Adele made her acting debut, guest-starring in such sitcoms as Martin, Moesha, The Parkers, The Steve Harvey show, a recurring role on The Tracey Ullman show and becoming a series regular on the hit sitcom The Hughley’s to name a few. Loving her newfound tree, Queen Adele branched out to do her very own morning radio show (The Adele Givens morning show on WGCI 107.5 FM Chicago), but not before filming her first movie role as Tricks in the film, The Player’s Club. Before long, HBO recognized her majesty by offering her a chance to do her own HBO Half-hour comedy special and television pilot The Adele Givens show. Adele also served as co-host of the Source Magazine Awards pre-show. Queen Adele Givens wowed audiences everywhere on the very successful Queens of Comedy tour (13 consecutive sold out dates and the album was nominated for a Grammy Award), and made us laugh out loud as the hip hop loving, bad hair day having, DJ (I’Holla) Helen in the movie Beauty Shop.

Now the Queen of comedy, Grammy nominated artist, Soul Train Comedy Award nominee, and experienced television and film actress, had added the titles writer. Producer and Director to her resume. She is currently filming a movie she wrote and directed (The real extreme and confusing blaxploitation of ….SCANKHOSE.) All this and beautiful too! It’s safe to say that the little girl from Chicago’s west side has done the city proud!

Marvin Hunter

Comedian Marvin Hunter

Marvin Hunter was a stand out on Bounce TV’s Off The Chain. He has been a featured comedian on morning radio shows with Steve Harvey and Rickey Smiley plus he has toured with Mike Epps.

Marvin H. was born and reared in Vicksburg, MS, a city known as “The Red Carpet City of the South”, where Southern Hospitality is still alive and well. An observant child and early opponent of political correctness, his young opinions were given freely to adults (and almost anyone else who would listen), but were mostly returned to him just as freely at the end of a belt. Butt whippings only strengthened his crusade to investigate and uncover foolishness wherever it resided. He became known for exposing any & all absurdities of family, friends, and the human experience…hence his lifelong motto,

Grumpy Uncle, Marvin Hunter
Marvin H

“Don’t Knock Foolishness…It’s Nourishment for Funny.”

Although not the class clown in high school, Marvin H. instead found a secret amusement in planting seeds of mischief into the impressionable minds of any would-be attention or thrill seeker within earshot. Being the silent catalyst of funny classroom disruptions always gave him a sense of accomplishment and purpose.

After high school he took this attitude along with him during a brief stay in college where after just a few months he was informed that his unique talents were no longer needed. He then made the decision to move on to the United States Navy where he served 20yrs, 9days, 8hrs, & too many minutes. He was a welder and catfish plate aficionado!

He has traveled to every corner of the globe while serving his country and has witnessed his fair share of foolishness…and foolishness is exactly what he has been sharing across the country for the last 6 years served up with a shrewd intellect, unapologetic approach, blended with a Southern charm.

Marvin H. is indeed “The Onliest One Doing it Today” and is a bona-fide must see!
