As an actor, comedian, producer and entrepreneur, Thomas “Nephew Tommy” Miles has built a career that encompasses radio, television, film and more.
Thomas’ role as co-host of the nationally syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Show puts him in front of a live radio audience of more than 7 million listeners daily. The best of that morning’s show is also featured each weeknight on Centric TV (BET 2), forming a powerful combination that reaches a massive audience.
Nephew Tommy provides a key role on the morning show, lighting it up with his own cast of colorful characters and zany humor. His prank phone calls are a fan favorite, which have been compiled to create a top-selling CD.
Thomas also has a loyal following as a stand-up comedian and has earned a reputation for wowing the crowd. For three years, he served as the exclusive opening act on the Luther Vandross tour. In 2010, he hosted the Essence Music Festival, which drew 250,000 fans and featured acts such as Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys and Mary J. Blige. In October 2010, Thomas recorded his one-hour comedy special at the famed Motor City Casino in Detroit. He continues to keep the crowds laughing as he tours nationally in his sold-out stand-up comedy shows.
A talented thespian, Thomas earned his B.A. in Theater Arts from Texas A&M University, starred in more than a dozen stage plays, and worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company. A number of independent films are on his resume, including 2010’s “N-Secure” and “The Heart Specialist” with Zoe Saldana.
