NeNe is the breakout star of Bravo’s hit reality show, “Real Housewives of Atlanta”.

In addition to “Housewives”, she’s had a recurring role on “Glee” for the past three seasons, and was a series regular on Ryan Murphy’s “The New Normal” on NBC.

She starred on Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” on Broadway in the role of ‘Madame’ and has recently finished a Broadway run on “Chicago” in the role of ‘Mama Morton’.

Leakes is the author of “Never Make the Same Mistake Twice,” discussing her fractured childhood, abusive relationship, struggles with being a single mother, landing Mr. Right, and all the messy lessons she’s learned along the way.

Leakes has appeared on such shows as “Ellen,” “The Talk,” “Anderson Cooper,” “The Wendy Williams Show,” “The Rosie Show,” “The Joy Behar Show,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “The Insider” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live” – just to name a few.

This fall she will debut as “Rocky” on Ryan Murphy’s comedy series “The New Normal.”

When Leakes is away from the cameras, she lends her time and energy, supporting various charity efforts. She is the founder of Twisted Hearts, a charity that brings awareness to the plight of domestic violence against women of all races. As a victim of domestic abuse, her mission is to offer a voice and support to assist those in need of help.
