Epps began his professional career by joining the Def Comedy Jam tour in 1995 and starred in two of HBO’s Def Comedy Jam broadcasts. He later appeared in Vin Diesel’s directorial debut, Strays in 1997.

In 1999, Epps was then cast as Ice Cube’s co-star (effectively, Chris Tucker’s replacement) in the sequel, Next Friday. This came after weeks of auditions after Ice Cube attended a stand-up set Epps did, and then asked Epps to try out for the part of Day-Day Jones. His role as Day-Day Jones was a breakthrough for the new actor, who was already familiar to much of the audience from his stand-up work. Later that year, Epps had a cameo in 3 Strikes, and supported Jamie Foxx in Bait.

Epps had a voice role in the 2001 movie Dr. Dolittle 2 as Sonny, and finished the year with a featured role as comical pimp Baby Powder in How High, starring Method Man and Redman. Epps reunited with Ice Cube in 2002 as the bumbling thief to Ice Cube’s bounty hunter in All About the Benjamins, and again re-teamed with Cube in the continuing Friday saga’s latest entry Friday After Next.

Epps also got to voice another bear character (Boog) in the 2008 film Open Season 2 after Martin Lawrence declined the role. In 2010, Epps also released a stand-up comedy special, Under Rated & Never Faded and hosted the 2010 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Epps’ name has become synonymous with a particular style of humor, through his appearance with several other African-American artists in the same genre. Aside from featuring Cube, the common thread of these films was the hilarious prominence of marijuana-smoking comic characters, like the ones portrayed by Epps.

The cultural, political and economic diversity of that city laid the groundwork for his development as a performer. John is one of nine children and after high school he attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana Lafayette) where he earned degrees in English, Political Science, and Interpersonal Communications. It was during his college career that John discovered he had the gift of comedy.

The “Ragin Cajun” gives parents a “talk” about how to raise children with manners. He thinks we are afraid to bust an ass! The stories will have you busting a gut with laughter! John dares to talk boldly about real issues. Whether he is speaking about children or relationships, his comedy comes from life experience with his wife and kids. Although his material may push some limits, it is never derogatory to any race, sex or creed. He finishes with a heartfelt patriotic theme making his show perfect for Armed Services Week.

John has worked steadily at comedy clubs, corporate events, and musical arenas. He has made national television appearances on MTV, Showtime, and Night Watch with Charlie Rose. He has been the opening act for Jerry Seinfeld, Kathleen Madigan and numerouse musical artists.

John’s confident demeanor and honest approach to life is refreshingly original.

When not at home playing such roles as husband, papa, handyman, spiderman, or power ranger, John travels the country doing comedy.-

His starring role in the hit musical comedy tour “Laughin’ on the Outside, Cryin’ on the Inside” generated standing ovations every performance. And finally, Damon maintains his weekly comedy showcase at B’n'J’s in Matteson, IL, and often opens for the hit sketch comedy team “Forgotten City” at Second City. A star on the rise, his motto is “Don’t Stop and Don’t Quit.”

An observant child and early opponent of political correctness, his young opinions were given freely to adults (and almost anyone else who would listen), but were mostly returned to him just as freely at the end of a belt. Butt whippings only strengthened his crusade to investigate and uncover foolishness wherever it resided. He became known for exposing any & all absurdities of family, friends, and the human experience…hence his lifelong motto, “Don’t Knock Foolishness…It’s Nourishment for Funny.”

Although not the class clown in high school, Marvin H. instead found a secret amusement in planting seeds of mischief into the impressionable minds of any would-be attention or thrill seeker within earshot. Being the silent catalyst of funny classroom disruptions always gave him a sense of accomplishment and purpose.

After high school he took this attitude along with him during a brief stay in college where after just a few months he was informed that his unique talents were no longer needed. He then made the decision to move on to the United States Navy where he served 20yrs, 9days, 8hrs, & too many minutes. He was a welder and catfish plate aficionado!

He has traveled to every corner of the globe while serving his country and has witnessed his fair share of foolishness…and foolishness is exactly what he has been sharing across the country for the last 6 years served up with a shrewd intellect, unapologetic approach, blended with a Southern charm.

Marvin H. is indeed “The Onliest One Doing it Today” and is a bona-fide must see!

Her comedic skills are so carefully honed that she leaves audiences in stitches wherever she goes. But comedy hasn’t always been her only contribution to society. Carlyle did a short stint in the Marine Corps (cause she was looking for a few good men) and tried her hand at teaching for a short while.

Barbara has appeared on Apollo Comedy Hour, Def Jam, Comic View, Comic Xscape, just to name a few. A stickler for detail, she can speed read an audience and know exactly where to take her jokes. Hecklers think twice about testing her skills cause this young lady takes no prisoners and die hard wannabes fall prey to her vicious tongue. Carlyle has performed in Germany, The Netherlands, England, the Virgin Islands (trying to be a born again virgin) and other exotic places. Carlyle has one daughter and several baby daddies. You do the math. Her aim in life is to leave an indelible mark in the world of comedy.

Working the hundreds of opportunities to perform for 5-10 minutes on comedy nights in Atlanta has given him a quirky urban comedy flare. More like a tommy gun of laughs for his audience. Club owners that see him for the first time are talking about him in their inner circles.

Marrow first performed on the Comedy House stage while Marcus Combs was Headlining and requested he perform a Guest set. It is a rare occasion that this is done but Terrell did not disappoint the club management nor the audience. The video below is a short snippet of his killer set. Don’t miss his performance coming up in the Comedy House Showroom main stage.
